A weekend getaway house for a Manila based family contained in 600 square meters. The house turns a quiet face to the street. A wooden sliding door between two separate structures delineates the break between the street entrance and the private covered lanai. The master bedroom, private garden, and an open plan living-dining-kitchen area are organized under a large hovering translucent roof that affords shelter from the tropical sun and downpours. Monochromatic plaster walls and stone flooring provide a serene but low maintenance escape from city life.
